need to add CPALead widget on drupal 6 anyone pleaaaaaase help......
Hello,
My first website was built using Drupal, and is currently hosted through Godaddy http://engagebooks.ca. The website works fine, however I am running into difficulties with my other sites. I tried uploading a new website to my server on Godaddy, using iWeb, but I am getting a 500 Internal Server error when I go to the site. When I called Godaddy they said that it's my Drupal .htaccess file that is affecting my iWeb website. The new website will work if you enter http://mattycox.com/Matty_Cox/Welcome.html but not if you enter http://mattycox.com. When Godaddy deleted my .htaccess file, the iWeb website worked perfectly, but my Drupal site stopped working, so I asked them to put the .htaccess file back up. Godaddy said I would have to either edit my .htaccess file, or add a new .htaccess file to my iWeb website. I'm not sure how to do this, or if it's even possible? My only other option is to open a new hosting account for $6.99 a month, for my non-Drupal websites. And insight would be greatly appreciated.
Someone recommended that I upload a new .htaccess file mattycox.com 's home directory. But this did not work... Any other thoughts? Do I have to edit my route .htaccess file (the one that allows the engagebooks.ca website to function?)
Thanks,
Alexis

Hi
I know that this hosting question has been asked umpteen number of times. But as I am going to host a site after an interval of 2.5 years, any guidance would be appreciated.
I believe new hosts would have taken the market, or old hosts that had problems would have improved. In any case suggestions are welcome.
At present I boiled down to some hosts, namely
1. Hostgator
2. Bluehost
3. Hostmonster
4. Imageleet
Any help is welcome.
Regards
I have a Drupal 6 site currently hosted on a basic Godaddy "Economy" shared hosting plan for $5 per month.
The site is based on a single Views 2 table view using Exposed Filters. Users select from up to four exposed Taxonomies (these are multi-select so can be used to select more than one value per taxonomy) to run queries against 3,500 nodes. For each node, data is returned from 5 CCK Computed text fields. The Computed data isn't calculated on-the-fly, it is saved in the database (so hopefully the "computed" aspect is irrelevant). Two of the fields are standard, short pieces of text but three are longer - each returning a text string that is around 1,500 characters long from the database. Nodes are displayed 30 per page using the Views Pager.
I need this site to run very, very fast and the performance at Godaddy is not quite up to scratch. To be fair, I don't really expect it to be for that money. I am now looking for a hosting plan that can provide lightening fast page loads for this website.
Basically, this site runs queries - that's all it does. So the queries must run fast.
I am not interested in any kind of hosting package that will require me to maintain any kind of server (virtual or otherwise), I just want very, very fast and reliable managed hosting that will work with this website.
When I paste this into the body of the node...
<?php
print "mac: " . $_POST["mac"] ."<br/>";
?>
I get this when I view it...
<?php
print "mac: " . $_POST["mac"] ."<br/>";
?>
I have looked around but can not find any where on how to get php commands like this to work.
Any help?

Can anyone please tell me how to make your drupal site https just for testing purpose
please
Ive looked at loads of hosting companies. Its quite easy to compare price, storage space, etc. However how can I find out how 'fast' hosting is?
Is their any data on this or do I just need to go on reputation?
Im looking at hosting for my UK ecommerce site. The site will be small and my margins are (initially) quite slim. For usability and SEO I want fast page loading times, assuming this doesn't need to cost that much.
Im completely stumped so id appreciate any ideas before i take a shot in the dark here!
Thanks
I keep up to date with the hosting debate here on Drupal.org. I used to have my own CoLo and I didn't care. My servers had loads of memory and disk space. Only problem was the cost to host and hands on support, and I was getting worried about the hard drives on my servers....so I decided to cut costs and switch to a Shared/VPS hosting.
After some research, I decided to go with Linode. I set them up for one of my clients and have recently just purchased a node for myself. Roughly 1 year hosting with them and I have no had any problems.
Today I just found out they decided to upgrade the memory on all their plans. One of the reasons I decided to go with Linode over Slicehost, is because linode provides retro-active upgrades to all their customers. Something slicehost doesn't do.
So the memory on my account after a reboot has moved from 540m to 768m. I couldn't be happier and I figured I'd let those on Drupal.org know about this. Certainaly makes Linode much more attractive on the price point perspective than slicehost now.

Hi buddies,
I hope here is the right place to post this.
I'm sure this has many times been asked and resolve but i can't find the right solution on the forum so i ask once again.
I have set up my drupal website on my computer and now i want to put it online, on my shared hosting. I don't have SSH acces, just a ftp acces on a restricted folder, as all the shared hostings.
Please how to fix this?
kindly.
Has anyone used Cloud hosting or specifically these guys?
http://www.rackspacecloud.com/cloud_hosting_products/servers/pricing
It seems great. Customer support was good, starting price is low and apparently Cloud hosting is great as scaling if you get a sudden surge of visitors. My only reservation is why arn't more people using this? I hanv't heard much about Cloud, is it too good to be true?
Im looking for cheap hosting for a site with low traffic. However its an ecommerce site and I want decent response times for SEO and user experience. Im in the UK so ideally so would my hosting.
Thanks
Do Drupal support Zimbra calender?? What is the procedure for it??
